The last remaining San master tracker in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park has suffered from a severe knee injury. The 4x4 Eco Challenge together with Goodyear SA and a orthopaedic surgeon Dr Loekie Venter, joined forces and gave the medical treatement required.

A descendant of the legendary Regopstaan, Kruiper, the father of five children, does not have medical aid and his "irreplaceable" knowledge of the veld, animals en plants would be lost should he retire, Groenewald said.

The operation was succesful and Andrew was able to return to work, but this time he can stand up straight for the first time in many years.
